Funny how all these years of me picking and choosing updates to keep my computer functioning how I want it (you know... to have what you paid for and keep my product without others stealing it and modifying it *cough*badupdates*cough* ... basic consumer rights... but anyway) came to haunt me.
So I finally decided that I'd bite the bullet and update my updates... only to find out Windows Update was refusing to update and would forever stay stuck "searching for updates". Just my luck. When I really don't want updates they try to install, and when I really need them they don't.

I can't believe I'm done...after 6 months of working (Could've been 4 or 5 if school wasn't in the way all the time...T__T) I'm done...:faint:

Find Your Homestuck Troll Blood Color!Yeah so here is how it works! You need to figure out your sun sign, and your moon sign. There is a calculator similar to this one out there, but it doesn't take in account jade bloods or mutants.  This also doesn't require rounding. Hussie has already stated that the only troll blood colors that exist are the ones we have seen in the comic + lime. I also had to take in account that the jade blood color is rare, but the odds of getting jade with the distribution unadjusted are extremely high, so I figured out a way to make it work so it makes sense. I also took in account that fuchsia blood is extremely rare, and so is being mutant.  :)  The distribution that I am working with is a pyramid.  I'll explain the breakdown at the end.

Twilight of the Hakurei, the club-wide comic tennis/RP (http://walfasstationwagon.deviantart.com/gallery/41877816), is turning out just as I suspected: AMAZINGLY. However, one thing that really astounds me is how well the character system is working. If you're not familiar, it's simply this:
1. Pick the character's biggest strength that affects other people. Note the key phrase, "that affects other people." For example, "He's really good at cooking," is not a strength: that's just a regular skill that only applies to one area of life and doesn't really affect others. However, "He's a fast learner," or, "He pays attention to detail," or, "He's very generous," is a strength because it applies to more than just cooking, but any other skill and especially relationships.

Tips on: How to make an original species?I got asked by a few people but I wrote out this response to jasper-chan's ask on my tumblr. since it's all written out I feel like it'd be at least somewhat appreciated to those who are curious of what I keep in mind while making an original species

In general I’d suggest to think "what physical characteristics should be involved with my species? and how can i make it unique?"
for a species to be a species (especially closed species) there should be at least some distinctive physical trait that they're born with.
imo it’s not a very good species if they can take off what would make them a species. for example, a group of kemonomimis that likes to wear a specific fashion is more of a culture than a species. I wouldn’t add their fashion into their main descrip
